Chapter Approval Process
Apply to KYSAFF
Self-Advocacy group applies to KYSAFF by completing the
KYSAFF Local Chapter Application form.
Receive Approval
Self-Advocacy group receives written approval from the KYSAFF Board to be a Local Chapter.
Get Tax ID Numbers
Local Chapter receives KYSAFF Federal and State tax ID numbers.
Board of Directors
Local Chapter, if it is the only Chapter in region, appoints a self-advocate to be member of KYSAFF Board of Directors. If the Local Chapter is in a region with other Local Chapter(s), the Local Chapter will work with the other Local Chapter(s) to appoint a self-advocate to be a member of the KYSAFF Board of Directors.

Local Chapter adheres to the principles set forth by the KYSAFF organization.
